Sailing skills last a lifetime - and it is never too late to learn! No matter what your age or circumstances, sailing is fun, affordable and a great way to meet people.

The Whitsunday Sailing Club, trading as Whitsunday Maritime Training Centre, also offers commercial courses to help you on your maritime career.

Whatever level of training you require, Whitsunday Maritime Training Centre has a course to suit you. Last year alone, we trained more than 1,000 people!

Experienced skippers

Whitsunday Maritime Training Centre is a registered training organisation and instructors are experienced, active skippers who can help students achieve the most suitable training for them personally.

All sailing courses are accredited by Yachting Australia and all commercial marine courses are nationally recognised under the government's Australian Quality Training Framework.

The Whitsunday Sailing Club also hosts major off beach and offshore sailing regattas and students can participate as crew in the racing to complement the practical component of courses.
